Originally from Kent but now based in Milton Keynes, I worked in the public sector for 4+ years before deciding to switch my career full-time as a Personal Trainer and Online Coach. I know the importance of wanting to exercise and be healthy but also balance a career, meeting friends, being with family, and spending time with colleagues outside of work.
I have always been into fitness and sport, playing netball and running since the age of 10 and finding the gym in my late teens. I was focused on my education, studying International Politics at undergrad and African Politics at postgrad so I could start my career in public policy.
I was focused on my career and wanted to prioritise my health and fitness, looking for any guidance or inspiration to do this but advice and workouts from coaches did not really consider that I couldn’t just drop my work and have a call at 3 pm to chat through my goals or do a 2-hour workout after 6 pm because I am so tired from a full day’s work.
Seeing an opportunity I decided to make a career switch and follow my dreams to support PEOPLE like me to prioritise a healthy balanced lifestyle alongside a career.
That’s why I founded MJM FITNESS COACHING because I want to help PEOPLE to make fitness a priority. I understand how challenging it can be to balance all those different priorities and sometimes focusing and investing in yourself is the first thing to slip.
